A telling sign, always, is a reprint of a book, especially if a short distance from the first edition and critical acclaim. But the book by Alessandro Masi (read biography) is much more important than an essay on the state of our language in Italy and worldwide. At the exit of the text was too early to say what is now a must say about the scope and depth programmatic agility volume of Masi. It has not only made the point (piercing, almost prophetic in some respects) to the reality "internal" the wording that combines semantic one people, but he scored the directives for the future, much to act as a stimulus and reference in a desirable and the battle for the Italian language. Alessandro Masi is an outstanding intellectual, all its activities in Italy, Europe and around the world proves it unequivocally. He combines in himself as a scholar and as a character, the elements essential to an enhancement of our language (and its cargo of culture). Numerous presentations in every part of Italy, meetings with lovers of the language of Dante, but also with simple readers, have demonstrated competence on the one hand the passionate Alessandro Masi, and second, the expectation on the part of many, is a genuine initiative in favor of a heritage as great and noble. There was, in other words, the feeling that nobody is indifferent to the events related to our language, and indeed seems to be forming an expectation - here and there aware of - a clear statement of position and action in favor of Italy cultural (tangible symbol his language) as part of a united Europe. Both influx of public presentations not be explained otherwise. This book contains more inspiration and guidance than you might suspect.
